Cajun Shrimp, Chicken and Steak Alfredo Pasta

Deciding what to have for dinner can be one of the most repetitive tasks there is. With this simple dish, you combine all your dinnertime favorites into one meal, making it a favorite for everyone! Cajun Shrimp, Chicken and Steak Alfredo Pasta is an easy weekday dinner jam-packed with loads of flavor in every bite! 

Ingredients:

For the Protein:

  • 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 lb steak, thinly sliced (such as sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2-3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 8 ounces penne pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
  • Water for boiling
  • Salt for the pasta water

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season and Cook the Protein:
    • Season the chicken, steak, and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the chicken and steak until cooked through and browned. Remove and set aside.
    • In the same skillet, cook the shrimp until pink and opaque. Set aside with the chicken and steak.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the onion and bell pepper until softened.
    • Add garlic and cook for another minute.
    • Pour in the heavy cream, and bring to a simmer.
    • Add the Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, oregano, and thyme. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine Everything:
    • Add the cooked pasta, chicken, steak, and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to combine and heat through.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the Cajun Shrimp, Chicken, and Steak Pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
