This Taco Spaghetti is an easy one pan meal that your whole family will love. Using ground beef, zesty tomatoes and spaghetti, you can choose additional toppings to suit everyone’s taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 package (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Sour cream
  • Diced avocado
  • Sliced jalapeƱos
  • Crushed tortilla chips

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Meat:
    • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
    • Drain excess fat and return the meat to the skillet.
  2. Add Taco Seasoning:
    • Stir in the taco seasoning mix, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 2 minutes until the onion softens.
  3. Add Tomatoes and Broth:
    • Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cook the Spaghetti:
    • Break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the skillet, ensuring they are submerged in the liquid.
    • Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Add Cheese and Cilantro:
    • Once the spaghetti is cooked, turn off the heat.
    • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Serve the Taco Spaghetti hot, garnished with sour cream, diced avocado, sliced jalapeƱos, and crushed tortilla chips, if desired.
