Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos
This bang bang shrimp tacos recipe is the best combination of flavors! Easy shrimp tacos are topped with crunchy slaw, shrimp taco sauce, and a drizzle of sriracha.
Ingredients:
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Tacos:
- 8-10 small flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, and garlic powder. Set aside.
- Prepare the Shrimp:
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat together the egg and milk.
- Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat in the flour mixture.
- Fry the Shrimp:
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
