McDonald’s All Day Breakfast Being Temporarily Pulled From Menu
If you love to eat an Egg McMuffin at 5 o’clock in the evening, you will have to find another go to meal. McDonald’s is temporarily pulling the all day breakfast items from it’s menu amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The fast-food giant made the temporary change to “simplify operations in our kitchens and for our crew,” Bill Garrett, senior vice president of McDonald’s US operations, told news outlets in a statement Wednesday.
The coronavirus crisis has forced “substantially all” McDonald’s restaurants in the US to offer only drive-through, delivery and carry-out service. Its locations in European markets have closed entirely, though about 95 percent of its restaurants are operating in China, where the coronavirus originated, the filing says.
McDonald’s starting serving all-day breakfast in October 2015 as part of efforts to turn around slumping sales.
“All day breakfast’s response to this news: ‘I’ll be back,’” McDonald’s USA president Joe Erlinger said on Twitter.
