Pepsi is Launching a New Coffee Infused Soda Next Year

Pepsi has announced it’s newest product will break into the a.m beverage market with coffee infused soda, Pepsi Cafe.

This is not the first time Pepsi has tried to infuse coffee with their cola. Back in 1996, Pepsi unsuccessfully released Pepsi Kona.

So imagine sipping a tall, refreshing glass of ice-cold Pepsi—with a splash of nutty, aromatic Arabic coffee. This soda will be available in two flavors, original and vanilla. The vanilla Pepsi Cafe should have a sweet, refreshing taste that resembles flavored coffee drinks, and the original will be closer to rich black coffee.

Pepsi’s biggest competitor, Coca-Cola, has a similar product, Coca-Cola Plus Coffee. But it hasn’t hit U.S. stores…yet.
