Could the New McDonald’s Friends Happy Meal BE Any More Exciting?

McDonald’s Spain has recently launched a special “Friends” Adult Happy Meal, complete with collectible figurines of the iconic characters and an exclusive dipping sauce called Monica’s Marinara. The meal celebrates the 30th anniversary of the beloved sitcom Friends, and is specifically tailored for adult fans. Instead of the usual Happy Meal items, customers can enjoy options like a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, or McRoyal Deluxe, with fries and a drink. Each meal comes with one of six figurines featuring Phoebe, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica, or Chandler—each with nostalgic touches, like Monica in her chef whites or Ross with Marcel the monkey.

Though it sounds like a dream come true for Friends fans, there’s a catch—the meal is currently only available in Spain. McDonald’s has gone a step further by turning its Montera Street location in Madrid into a Central Perk-themed café, adding to the nostalgia.

So why isn’t it in the U.S.? There are two possible reasons: the show’s massive international appeal and perhaps more straightforward licensing processes abroad. However, McDonald’s does have a history of bringing international hits stateside, like the viral Crocs Happy Meal, so it’s not out of the question that fans in the U.S. may get to experience it eventually.

For now, fans can only hope and wait for this iconic collaboration to “pivot” its way to other countries!
